Kids and whatnot

I'm trying to be better about recording our lives on this blog a little better, even though it's not as nice or organized as I'd like it to be.  I still need to catch up on January and February of this year, but for now, here are a few more since Naamen's arrival.

As has been the case with each of our little one's births, Oma comes to town to help.  She is a wonderful cook, and blessed us with wonderful meals while she was here.  Emma enjoyed being involved with everything she did int he kitchen.

We took out the model magic one afternoon and I was very impressed with Emma's snowman she did all on her own.

Easter morning.  The kids were so excited to wake up for this.  Emma had been counting down the days for it.  In addition to candy inside their plastic eggs, we gave them some water cans to help them water the little garden Oma helped plant while she was here.

We had Easter lunch at Memma and Poppa's, and Byron's little friend Isaac, along with his family, joined us as well.  By the end of our time together, the two rascals had found a pile a mud and well... made a big mess with each other :)

These two are best friends.  The other morning, they spent about two hours playing on their own.  The played "pretend Byron's 4th birthday," and "pretend Emma's 6th birthday," and "pretend Christmas."  The wrapped their presents (aka -- toys they had) in wrapping paper (aka -- their blankets) and gave them to each other.  Each time Byron would open one of the gifts, he'd say:  "WOW!"  It was so cute.

Each of our little ones has had an animal we've associated them with.  Emma was a bunny, Byron was a yellow lab, and Naamen is a bear (this is because my dad's nickname was "Oso" -- bear in Spanish).  Memma found these *super cute* newborn shoes.  I just cannot get enough of them!!!  I'll be so sad when he grows out of them.

Naamen will never know a day his big brother and big sister are not all over his face.  Emma is very good at holding him...

... Byron not so much.

Our first hotdog roast as a family of five.

Ames is in town!  (eating brownies)

This girl looooves tomatoes.  She'll eat them whole like an apple if we'd let her.  I find this to be very weird.

It's beautiful outside, and the kids enjoy playing outdoors so much.

For reasons I haven't quite figured out yet, I wake up with really bad neck pain every morning.  I'm sure it may have something to do with the fact that I've been holding Naamen a lot.  Busted out the infant carrier today to see if it would make a difference.

Emma has officially dropped her nap.  I still make her do rest time for about 1.5 hrs, and to make it a little more "fun," I let her choose where to have it.  Recently she's chosen to sit in the front porch.

And finally, just because he is incredibly handsome, and super sweet, a picture of my thirdborn.
