Byron got to go have his first sleepover with Ames at his house while Emma got to invite friend Leah (who is closer to Byron in age, but is a good friend to Emma as well). The had a fun time together, making homemade pizza for dinner Saturday night...
... and then bacon and pancakes for breakfast Sunday morning.
Emma was very "motherly" towards her, and made sure she was delivered safely back to her parents at church on Sunday morning. Here you see Emma holding Leah's hand and carrying her backpack while crossing the street to enter the church.

If that isn't sweet how she took care of her! FANTASTIC to see them in the kitchen with ingredients, big bowls, and lots of smiles!!! The fotos make ME smile!! Maybe we can cook here when Emma arrives in 2.5 weeks, but it is 109 degrees out. It's a bit counterproductive to turn on the oven if you also turn on the air conditioner in the kitchen. I'm hoping we can make some popsicles.
