Emma's favorite thing to carry around these days are these little foam shapes she got while doing a little craft at the Kroc Center (gym where I go to). She loves to hold them all at the same time in her hands and take them everywhere. She also loves to place them in her pockets (if she has any for that day) and pull them out at her convenience. They will keep her busy at the table, and just about anywhere.
She knows her shapes quite well. She can recognize in both English and Spanish the heart, square, circle, oval and triangle. She can also verbalize all of them in English, and most of them in Spanish (though not all).

How cute! Amazing that she knows her shapes (and many colors). I remember Dona Mare would come to clean and little Manuelito was about 5 back then. I got so frustrated every week because he could not remember "blue" (or any color). I think he's failed twice in school. Poor guy. I should look up what you were saying at about 2.
