Last Monday we had a "Dinner Cruise" with a couple Morrises. Uncle JoJo is "sitting" a friend's boat indefinitely, and thus we get to enjoy the benefits of it. Memma had chicken fingers, tuna salad, deviled eggs, fruit and cinnamon rolls for dessert.
We rode on the Savannah River for almost three hours. It made it for a late summer night for Emma, but it was well worth it. She woke up the next day talking about the boat, her cousins, and the water.
I loved all these photos. Little Emma looks very quiet and still. Did she comment about the PECES? I love the last photo of the 3 of you. Really natural shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat differences in lifestyle exist in this world Here in front we have the renters in that house that is the size of our kitchen. There is no electricity or water, and of course no bathroom. It started with Dona Leidy "alone" and then some of her family came and there got to be 9 people crammed in there. They use a pail to pull water out of the well. They speak a lot of Maya and are from a village in the south. I look at those children playing over there without shoes and think of Emma every day. I hope she can live here in Mexico too sometime and sweat, eat tortillas and drink horchata.
