A few March pictures

As already mentioned countless times before, Emma LOVES fish!  Her new favorite thing to do is watch a 2 minute YouTube video of a fish tank.  She normally likes to hold either her fish or milk when watching the video.

Emma with Bunny and "pom" -- oh how she loves them!  This was taken the other morning right after I got her out of her crib.  She was still a little sleepy and slightly attached to her two favorite items.

And just for record sake -- I am by no means proud of this, but I have started showing some TV to Emma.  She likes to watch Dora on my iPad.  I can get full episodes on  YouTube in Spanish and have her watch one every day or two.

Daddy's dimple

Emma discovered daddy's dimple the other night and began poking at it.  We thought it was worth a picture shot :)

Coloring

Emma's latest favorite thing to do is color.  If you were to come to our home unexpectedly, you will more than likely see a crayon or two in her hand.  She likes to sit and color with mommy (especially when mommy is doing her quiet time -- Emma gets to color in mommy's journal when mommy is using it), or color on her coloring book or notebook.  Though no crayon marks have yet to be found on the walls, we have identified a number of them on the floor, glider and window glasses.  But what a special hobby to develop at such a young age!

Here is a picture of her coloring on the breakfast table while mommy is getting dinner ready.

First thing first..

"Daddy, first thing first -- your boots!"

Unless you are a grandparent, you can stop reading.  I am about to become the classic parents who believes their kid is the smartest child to every step on Earth.  I am also writing these things down as keepsakes.

-  So I asked her doctor about the crayon incident.  I asked if that was normal for her age.  Granted, he did not jump out of his seat asking to preform a genius test or anything of that sort, but he did agree that she seemed advanced for her age.
-  One of the nursery workers at church from her new "classroom" asked me yesterday when she was going to turn 3.  I said:  "she is only 18 months."  "18 months????" she said, "she is too smart!  Smarter than most kids in this class."  (kids in her class range from 15 months - 3 years).
-  I am proud to say that both her English and Spanish continue to develop at an impressive rate.  I love seeing this happen because most people warned me that raising her bilingual would delay her verbal development.  Not this child!
-  She is very efficient at using both a fork and spoon to feed herself.
-  Her favorite type of foods are fruits and vegetables.  This is NOT a rare thing to hear at the Morris household:  "Emma, you can eat more of your broccoli after you finish your mac & cheese."
-  She seems to prefer her left hand over her right hand more often than not.

My joy, my joy!

Oh, to be woken up in the morning by the sweet calling of your darlin' girl!  PRICELESS!

Little Miss Mama

Emma is a quite the mama.  It has been a joy for me to watch her grow into such a girl.  She loves her babies (Bunny, Monkey, and The Other Bunny), "ninos" (children) and infants.  She is very affectionate and easy to love in return.  I know she will be a great big sister!

Here is a video of her being "motherly" and checking her (6 months older, might I add) friend's diaper for "popo" -- *sigh*
